Dearborn Group's Gryphon product is a device that serves as a gateway between automotive / industrial automation networks and a TCP/IP network. Communication between Gryphon and a user's application takes place over a TCP/IP link. Applications may execute on remote networked nodes or on Gryphon itself.
Communication between user applications (clients) and Gryphon (the server) is established via the Gryphon Communication Protocol. These documents define the procedures and data structures required for client/server communication between users' applications and Gryphon.
