Missing DLL Help (EXE, 1,767K) Some customers have been unable to use the Gryphon C/C++ libraries (on Windows) due to "missing DLLs"; e.g., the file "msvcp60.dll" is not available on their hard drive but is required by the Gryphon libraries.
Microsoft has published a program which provides these "missing DLLs". It is described by Microsoft as "a self-extracting executable file that installs the latest version of the Microsoft Visual C++ run-time files and operating system components that are required by most projects created with Visual C++ 6.0." The program, called "vcredist.exe", is now available here for download. The version currently available from DG is that supplied by Microsoft in Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 5. Older versions are reportedly available directly from Microsoft. Special Note: Service Pack 5 "readme" document contains this: "Note: This package installs only on the following platforms: Windows NT, Windows 95, and Windows 98. It will not install on Windows 2000 or Windows Millennium operating systems. For these operating systems, the components can only be updated through operating system updates and service packs specifically for those operating systems." Please read this document from Microsoft before running the "vcredist.exe" program.
