DPA 5 PRO V13 Kit



This DPA 5 PRO V13 kit is used for diagnostic and reprogramming activities on a 2013 or Newer trucks with a 16-pin diagnostic connector. The special OBDII / 9 Pin cable allows technicians to manage diagnostics and service bay repairs using OEM software or DG Diagnostics. The short OBDII cable is required when using other applications like Allison, Eaton, Meritor-WABCO, Bendix (etc) to manage additional diagnostic activities on 2013 and newer trucks.

  •  Connects DPA 5 to the OBDII (J1962) connector of some 2013 & newer trucks for performing diagnostics using OEM applications or DG Diagnostics.
  • The J1939 Type II Deutsch connector connects to all J1939 Type II and Type I connectors for J1708 and J1939 OEM diagnostics.
  • The J1962 connector covers light and medium duty vehicles using CAN/ISO15765 (2008 and newer mandated), as well as GM J1850, GM SWCAN, and ISO9141 protocols.


  •  This cable is used in conjunction with the DG-DPA5-9OBDII-CABLE to run J1939-based component diagnostic applications from Allison, Eaton, Meritor-WABCO, Bendix (etc) on the 2013 and newer Volvo/Mack vehicles with a Volvo engine. It allows J1939 and J1708/1587 communication using the vehicle OBDII diagnostic port.

    1. These capabilities are actually quite complicated and complex from an embedded software and network message communication strategy view. We do offer a free diagnostic software application with our DPA 5 PRO kits that is called DG Diagnostics. This software will read and clear many diagnostic trouble codes but there are also many proprietary actions that you will probably want to do while servicing the brands of trucks that you listed. We recommend that you use the genuine manufacturer diagnostic software.
