Description

 
Sets bus load monitor behavior for specified channel.

Mode
This field indicates the bus load monitor mode.  Valid values are:
 
0
BLM off
1
BLM average over time
2
BLM average over frame count
Averaging period
 
This field indicates the period over which averages are calculated.

If Mode=1 (Time average), then averaging period is interpreted as a time period in units of milliseconds.

If Mode=2 (Frame Count average), then averaging period is interpreted as a message count.
 
 

Response Data Format

Notes:
Averaging is accomplished by dividing the Averaging Period by up to 100 and reading the current statistics at that sample period.  This provides a new value at up to 1/100 of the specified Averaging Period.  The minimum sample period is 100 milliseconds or 10 messages depending on the Mode.  In order to use the maximum (100) number of samples, the averaging period must be equal to or greater than 10 seconds or 1,000 messages.
